Eel Tarn Lodge is located within this hidden gem of a woodland estate Neaum Crag, just a short distance from the popular village of Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District.

Driving onto this breathtaking estate you immediately feel a sense of calm. Neaum Crag is arguably one of the more secluded accommodation destinations in the Lake District, yet still just a short drive away from the busier villages making it a perfect base for those looking to recharge and reconnect with friends and family. Eel Tarn Lodge occupies an enviable position at the entrance of the estate and sleeps up to 4 people making it the perfect property for small groups and families.

On entering Eel Tarn, you enter an open plan kitchen dining and living area. The lounge features Two Tan leather 2-seater sofas the perfect place to relax after a day on the fells looking through the patio doors leading on to the enclosed deck and further afield to the Lakeland fells beyond. The living area has a Smart TV, electric wood burner effect fire to keep you cosy during cold evenings and free Wi-Fi, so you can plan your tomorrows adventures.

From the living area you enter a dining area, which features a dining table and chairs, from here you enter the light shaker style kitchen which has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including electric oven, electric hob with extractor, built in combi microwave oven, full fridge freezer 70/30, toaster, and kettle.

This holiday lodge features two bedrooms, the first is a good-sized bedroom with king sized bed built in wardrobes and dresser unit, with views out onto the enclosed decking and Black Fell beyond. The second is a twin bedroom, with two full sized single beds and fitted wardrobes.

The bathroom is fitted with a 3-piece suite including WC, wash hand basin and electric shower perfect for refreshing after a long day exploring the surrounding fells or taking a dip in Loughrigg Tarn. There is also the addition of shave/light point and large electric towel rail.

The property has its own designated private parking for two cars and a great enclosed deck perfect for dogs. The outside space also features a table and chairs where you can dine alfresco or just open your favourite bottle of wine and enjoy the long summer evenings from. One of the best things about Neaum Crag is the number of red squirrels in the area and guests always comment on how amazing it was to be able to catch a glimpse of one.

The property also has complimentary access to the onsite swimming pool, games room, there is also a coin operated Laundry all located just a short walk from Eel Tarn Lodge. The pool hall facilities are open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

N.B. This property has sets of shallow steps leading from the parking area and is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
