Coniston Lodge is located toward the middle of this woodland estate and commands woodland views . Coniston Lodge is a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations including Grasmere, Coniston, Langdale, Hawkshead and just a 10 minute drive from the popular village of Ambleside, making it a great location to explore the Lake District from.

On driving up to Coniston Lodge you know you have chosen the right property to stay in during your break, set in the heart of this woodland wonderland, you immediately have a sense of anticipation to see what this property has in store. On entering the property into the hallway space you will find ample space for walking boots, and coats to hang after a long day exploring the fells. Moving through the property from the lounge area, which has a Vintage 1950’s homely feel to its décor and has been thoughtfully decorated throughout. The lounge features a 2-seater sofa which is complimented by two additional single seater chairs. There is a wood burner effect fire, flat screen TV, DVD player.

From the lounge it leads through to the modern and light kitchen and dining area which is a great space for entertaining. The kitchen features a quartz stone worktop, a full fridge and freezer, free standing oven, grill and induction hob with extractor fan, microwave, kettle and toaster. The owner of this property has chosen the finest tableware with full set of Denby Crockery, Robert Welch cutlery Le Creuset dishes and fine cut glasses. There is also a dining table which seats 4 people.

The master bedroom features a Super King bed, bedside shelves, a dressing table, stool, and double wardrobes offering vintage décor throughout.

The modern bathroom features a white 3-piece suite with shower cubicle with a Mira electric shower, electric towel rail, an Illuminated mirror with sink and shaving point under the mirror.

Outside there is space for alfresco dining, even if you find the weather is not on your side Coniston lodge offers shelter under the decked veranda which is illuminated of an evening. Featuring a range of garden furniture where you can sit watching the Lake District sun setting over the estate and the fells beyond.

The property also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and Laundry all located just a short walk from Coniston Lodge. Open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Coniston Lodge is a great option for couples looking for their next cosy retreat in the Lake District and just a 10-minute drive from Ambleside it makes a great base for exploring most of the Lake District’s attractions. We recommend heading up the valley into Langdale and driving the infamous Hardknott and Wrynose pass which offers spectacular views. Once over the passes you can jump onboard the popular La’al Ratty Railway at the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway which runs between Ravenglass and Dalegarth. Once finished why not stop for some lunch at the Ratty Arms.
