Stickle Tarn Lodge is located on the popular, secluded, stunning woodland estate of Neaum Crag, just a short distance from the popular village of Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District.

Driving onto this breathtaking estate you immediately feel a sense of calm. Neaum Crag is arguably one of the more secluded accommodation destinations in the Lake District, yet still just a short drive away from the busier villages making it a perfect base for those looking to recharge and reconnect with friends and family. Stickle Tarn Lodge occupies an enviable position at the top of the estate and sleeps up to 4 people making it the perfect property for small groups and families.

The property features a Scandinavian style interior with wood paneling throughout giving a real sense of connection to the surrounding woodland. A compact well-equipped kitchen leads off the open plan living and dining area, with full electric oven, separate grill and extractor, electric hob, microwave, and full fridge freezer. The lounge consists of a two-seat leather sofa and two comfy chairs for relaxing in while watching TV/DVD, reading a book, or planning the next day’s adventures. With electric wood burner effect heater, large panel heater and patio doors leading out to the secure decked area where you can enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the spectacular Lake District sunsets this really will be your home from home.

The double bedroom has built in wardrobes, a large chest box and dressing table and double doors leading to the patio area. There is a good sized second bedroom with a fitted wardrobe, and twin beds. The bathroom has a modern three-piece suite with slate tops, with an electric shower cubicle, WC, and wash hand basin, perfect for refreshing after those long days exploring the Lake District fells. There is also the addition of a mirrored cabinet, shaver point and an electric towel rail.

The property also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and Laundry all located just a short walk from the lodge, open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

What makes this location even better is it is on the doorstep of some of the best walks in the Lake District, such as Loughrigg fell. This walk offers unrivalled views over Grasmere and Rydal water and at the summit has spectacular 360-degree views across this beautiful landscape. After taking in all these spectacular views, you don’t really need an excuse to visit one the of the Lake District best known cafes, Chester’s, offering some of the tastiest cakes and coffee this area has to offer and even better its just a 5 minute walk from your lodge.
