Ghyll Pool Lodge is positioned near the entrance of Neaum Crag estate, offering 18 acres of enchanting woodland and views of the paddock and fells beyond. Neaum Crag Estate is set at the foot of the Langdale Valley, the location is great for any outdoor enthusiast or for those who are wanting to sit back, relax, and watch the abundance of birds, red squirrels and roe deer that visit the estate throughout the year.

Ghyll Pool Lodge.

A detached ground floor lodge, benefiting from natural woodland views out towards Skelwith Bridge and Black Fell. Ghyll Pool Lodge affords a sunny location with a fenced in deck with outdoor seating allowing the dining to become alfresco during your stay.

Entering through the main door into the modern open plan kitchen and dining area leading on to the lounge with patio doors opening out on to the enclosed deck offering a secure area for small children and dogs.

The kitchen and dining area consists of modern units, with electric cooker, hob and extractor hood, microwave, fridge and freezer, with the bonus of a dishwasher and all the cooking equipment you will need for your self-catering stay. The owners have added an instant boiling water tap which adds to the convenience of your stay of instant boiling water on demand.

The dining area consists of a square table and 4 chairs which divides the kitchen and living area.

The Living area allows for guests to relax while watching TV or reading a book, there is ample comfy seating on a brown leather sofa and 2 leather chairs, SMART TV, Wi-Fi and an electric wood burning effect heater allowing for a comfy area to sit if the weather takes a turn for the worst.

The master bedroom has large picture windows with views beyond the estate, perfect for looking out while having your morning brew in the Double bed, with bedside table, reading lamp small drawers and wardrobe.

The twin bedroom has 2 single beds with fitted wardrobe and opening windows offering a bright and airy space to relax in.

The bathroom has a white 3-piece suite, shower cubicle with electric shower unit, electric towel rail and mirror.

Guests have free use of the onsite indoor swimming pool during their stay open between 1st March – 15th November.

Wi-Fi available free of charge in the pool hall building.

Ghyll Pool Lodge is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Whether this is your first woodland retreat or if you have stayed at the estate before you will not be disappointed with the location offering an abundance of wildlife for the avid nature photographer.  The Roe Deer can be found in the paddock below with sightings of badgers snuffling around at night and resident owls all making Neaum Crag their home.

A short stroll down the hill in to Skelwith Bridge you’ll find Chester’s Café renowned for their large cakes and tasty vegan lunch offerings.  The Talbot Bar is also located at the bottom of the hill with great pub dinners both of which are extremely dog friendly.

N.B. This property has two sets of shallow steps leading from the parking area and is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
