Ruskins Holiday Apartment is situated in an enviable position on this woodland estate and features breathtaking views of some of the Lake District’s most beautiful fells. Ruskins holiday apartment is just a short drive from many of the popular destinations in the Lake District including Ambleside, Hawkshead, Coniston, Grasmere and Windermere, making it the ideal base for those looking to explore everything the Lake District has to offer. It also has the added benefit of having some great pubs and cafes all within walking distance of this spectacular woodland estate.

On driving up to this apartment you will notice its set within an elevated position on the estate and features a small cluster of other holiday apartments within a block of 16. Ruskins apartment benefits from 1 private parking space and is located on the ground floor with 3 shallow steps up to the property, making it the perfect option for those with walking difficulties.

Entering the property, you walk into a hallway that leads into a spacious open plan modern living, dining and kitchen area which makes a great space for socialising. The living area features wood style flooring throughout and a large 3-seater leather sofa with the addition of an armchair. There is a T.V with built in DVD player, coffee table, and a range of walking maps, which are perfect to help plan the following days walks. From the living area there are patio doors out onto a patio area that feature a table and chairs which overlook a duck pond from a shared grassed area. The property also has the added benefit of free Wi-Fi.

From the living area there is a dining area which features a wooden oval dining table that seats 4 people which then leads through to a stunning modern white kitchen area, a great space for cooking some local dishes after a long days walk on the Lake District fells. The kitchen area features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle and a range of pots, pans and kitchen utensils giving you everything you will need during your stay.

The double bedroom features the same wood style flooring and is tastefully decorated throughout and features clothes rail and shelving, two bedside tables, lamps, mirrors, and chair. This room opens to the outside space from a set of patio doors, a perfect excuse to catch a Lake District sunrise while enjoying your morning coffee and watching the red squirrels go about their day. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom which again has been tastefully decorated and features clothes rails, bedside cabinet and lamp, a chest of drawers and chair. Both the double and the twin bedroom benefit from wall mounted electric heaters to help create that cosy Lake District feel. There is also a modern bathroom which features a bath with electric shower over, toilet and sink, the perfect space to soak those aching muscles after tackling some of the Lake District’s longer walks.

Ruskins Apartment also has access to the onsite swimming pool, games room and laundry, all located just a short walk from this Lake District holiday apartment. Open daily from 1st March - 15th November.

Ruskins holiday apartment is just a short drive from many of the popular Lake District destinations, and this property is a great base for those families, couples or smaller groups and has the added benefit of it being pet friendly, so you wont have to leave your dog out from your adventure in the Lake District. We recommend heading out for a day on one of the many Lakes. Coniston and Windermere are both great options and if you want to experience something a little bit different then why not give paddle boarding a try. It’s great fun and there are numerous companies offering paddle board hire with instructors. Sitting out on the middle of the Lake and adventuring down one of the numerous rivers really does you a completely different perspective of the Lake District.
